Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Crew Systems Private Limited collects through crew.inc and the Crew apps, and why.
Our two roles
For our customers and website visitors, we decide how account and billing data is used. For employee data inside a customer’s account, such as attendance, selfies used for check-in, biometric punch logs and payroll, we process it only on the employer’s instructions.
What we collect
- Account and contact details: name, work email, phone, company and GSTIN.
- Billing records and invoices. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us.
- Employee data the employer adds: attendance, leave, salary, statutory and bank details for payroll.
- Website usage, device data and cookies.
Why we use it
- To provide, secure and support Crew.
- To process payments and issue GST invoices.
- To send service messages such as trial, renewal and payment notices.
- To send product updates, which you can opt out of.
Law we follow
We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with providers that help us run the service, such as Amazon Web Services for hosting and our payment, email and SMS providers, or when the law requires it.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep data while your account is active. After an account is paused or cancelled, employee data is kept for 30 days and then deleted. Invoices are kept as long as tax law requires.
Security
Crew is ISO 27001 certified. Access is role-based and changes are recorded in audit logs.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data. Employees should contact their employer first, and we will help the employer respond.
